Originally founded as the Colorado School of Medicine in Boulder in 1883, the institution experienced growth and expansion in 1892, moving to Denver. This growth continued, and in 1911, the school merged with the Denver and Gross College of Medicine. The 21st century brought another significant change for the school; in 2004, it relocated from Denver to its current location in Aurora.
