Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a premier private medical college and tertiary care teaching hospital located in Amalanagar, a suburb of Thrissur in the state of Kerala, India. It is a Christian minority institution administered by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), a Catholic religious order founded in 1831.

The foundation of Amala Institute was laid in 1978 with the mission of providing affordable cancer treatment and palliative care. It was formally inaugurated on 25 April 1978 by the then President of India, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy.
