Monster Cereals

Monster Cereals are a line of breakfast cereals produced by the General Mills corporation in North America. The series includes five brands: Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, Fruit Brute, and Fruity Yummy Mummy. Each cereal features a fictional monster character as its mascot.

The Monster Cereals were first introduced in the early 1970s. Count Chocula and Franken Berry were the first to be released, both in 1971. Boo Berry, the first blueberry-flavored cereal, was released in 1973. Fruit Brute, a fruit-flavored cereal, and Fruity Yummy Mummy, an orange cream-flavored cereal, were both discontinued in the 1980s but have been re-released for a limited time during the Halloween season in recent years.

Each of the Monster Cereals is represented by a different monster character. Count Chocula, a vampire, is the mascot for a chocolate-flavored cereal. Franken Berry, a Frankenstein's monster-like character, represents a strawberry-flavored cereal. Boo Berry, a ghost, is the mascot for a blueberry-flavored cereal. Fruit Brute, a werewolf, represents a fruit-flavored cereal. Fruity Yummy Mummy, a mummy, is the mascot for an orange cream-flavored cereal.
