Columbia University School of General Studies
Columbia University School of General Studies (GS) is one of the undergraduate colleges of Columbia University, a private Ivy League research university in New York City. It is known for its non-traditional and diverse student body, which includes students who have had a break of at least one year or more in their education, those who are pursuing dual degrees, and those who are working professionals.

The School of General Studies was established in 1947 to provide an Ivy League education to non-traditional students.
