Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being

The Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being (NDPHS) is a cooperative initiative aimed at improving public health and social well-being in the Northern Dimension area. This area includes countries in the Baltic Sea region, the Barents region, and the Arctic region. The NDPHS was established in 2003 as part of the broader Northern Dimension policy, which is a joint policy between the European Union, Russia, Norway, and Iceland.

The primary objectives of the NDPHS are to:

  • Reduce major communicable diseases and prevent lifestyle-related non-communicable diseases.
  • Promote healthy and socially rewarding lifestyles.
  • Enhance the quality and accessibility of health and social services.
