Rajiv Gandhi Medical College

Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital is a school of medicine located in Thane, Mumbai, India. Established in 1992, it is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is run by the Thane Municipal Corporation.

The hospital is ranked sixth in Maharashtra and is the top-ranked hospital in Thane and Mumbai suburban areas. It is attached to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, which has over 500 beds and offers various speciality departments.

The college offers 100 seats for the MBBS undergraduate course, with an increase from 80 seats since 2022. This allows for more personal attention to each aspiring doctor. Additionally, the college offers PG courses in various specialities through the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Mumbai diploma courses and Diplomat of National Board (DNB) courses.

The dean of the college is Dr. Pratibha Sawant.
