The list includes lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, promethium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, and lutetium.
Use in medicine[edit | edit source]
Many of the rare earths such as gadolinium in MRI, lanthanum in cancer treatment etc are used extensively in medicine.
