Medical Uses[edit | edit source]

- Heart attack: Zestril is also used to improve survival after a heart attack.
Side Effects[edit | edit source]

- Dizziness
- Lightheadedness
- Tiredness
- Headache
If any of these effects persist or worsen, patients should tell their doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Precautions[edit | edit source]
Before taking Zestril, patients should inform their healthcare provider if they are allergic to it, or to other ACE inhibitors, or if they have any other allergies.
Interactions[edit | edit source]
Zestril can interact with other medications, which can affect how it works or increase the risk for serious side effects. Some products that may interact with Zestril include:
- Aliskiren
- Lithium
- Drugs that may increase the level of potassium in the blood (such as ARBs like losartan/valsartan, birth control pills containing drospirenone)
Overdose[edit | edit source]
