List of territories governed by the United Nations
The List of territories governed by the United Nations includes regions and territories that have been administered or overseen by the United Nations (UN) at various points in history. As of now, there are no territories directly governed by the United Nations. However, the UN has played significant roles in the administration of various regions in the past.

Trust Territories[edit | edit source]
Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands
- The Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands was a United Nations Trust Territory in the Pacific Ocean administered by the United States from 1947 to 1994. It included the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
- The Trust Territory of Somaliland was a United Nations Trust Territory in the Horn of Africa administered by Italy from 1950 to 1960. It later became part of the independent Somalia.

United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor
- The United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) was established to administer East Timor from 1999 to 2002, following the territory's vote for independence from Indonesia.
United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo
- The United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) was established in 1999 to administer Kosovo following the Kosovo War. It continues to play a role in the region's governance.

United Nations Temporary Executive Authority
- The United Nations Temporary Executive Authority (UNTEA) administered the territory of West New Guinea from 1962 to 1963 before it was transferred to Indonesia.
United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia
- The United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) was established to oversee the transition to peace and democracy in Cambodia from 1992 to 1993.
