In this case, it is a fear of bathing, cleaning, or washing. This fear can have a significant impact on an individual's daily life, making it difficult for them to maintain personal hygiene and perform daily activities. Ablutophobia is often treated with therapy, specifically cognitive-behavioral therapy, and medication.
