Starbucks is a global coffee company and coffeehouse chain based in Seattle, Washington. The company was founded in 1971 by Jerry Baldwin, Gordon Bowker, and Zev Siegl, with the goal of selling high-quality coffee beans and equipment. Today, Starbucks is one of the largest coffee chains in the world, with over 30,000 locations in over 80 countries.

The company's coffeehouses offer a variety of hot and cold beverages, as well as snacks and pastries. Starbucks' menu also includes a selection of seasonal items, as well as a variety of sandwiches and salads. In addition to traditional coffee drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and Americanos, Starbucks also offers a wide range of specialty drinks such as Frappuccinos, iced coffees, and tea-based beverages.

Starbucks prides itself on sourcing high-quality, ethically-sourced coffee beans. The company has several programs in place to support coffee farmers and promote sustainable practices, including the C.A.F.E. (Coffee and Farmer Equity) Practices program, which sets guidelines for environmental and social responsibility, and the Farmer Support Center in Costa Rica, which provides training and resources to farmers.

Starbucks also has a strong commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. The company has several initiatives in place to support education, combat homelessness, and promote environmental sustainability. The Starbucks Foundation, for example, supports nonprofit organizations focused on youth education, and the company has a goal to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses by 2025.

In recent years, Starbucks has also expanded its reach by partnering with other companies. This include partnerships with music streaming service Spotify, mobile payment company Square, and even Uber Eats for food delivery.

Starbucks has also grown their presence and accessibility, with different physical stores like drive-thru, delivery and curbside pick-up, as well as digital platforms, like Mobile order and pay, the Starbucks app which allow customer to place order and make payment online, and Starbucks Rewards which rewards customers for their purchase
