Jin Jun Mei Tea[edit | edit source]

Jin Jun Mei tea, also known as Golden Eyebrow tea, is a type of black tea that originated from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian province, China. It is highly regarded for its unique flavor profile and exquisite appearance.

History[edit | edit source]

Jin Jun Mei tea was first produced in the early 21st century by tea master Mr. Jiang Yuanxun. Inspired by the success of Lapsang Souchong tea, Mr. Jiang sought to create a new black tea that would rival its popularity. After years of experimentation and refinement, he successfully developed Jin Jun Mei tea in 2005.

Production[edit | edit source]

Jin Jun Mei tea is made from the buds of the tea plant, known as "golden tips." These buds are carefully handpicked during the early spring harvest when they are at their most tender and flavorful. The tea leaves undergo a meticulous process of withering, rolling, fermentation, and drying to achieve the desired flavor and aroma.

Flavor and Aroma[edit | edit source]

Jin Jun Mei tea is known for its complex flavor profile. It offers a rich, malty taste with notes of honey, caramel, and chocolate. The tea has a smooth and velvety texture, leaving a lingering sweet aftertaste. Its aroma is often described as floral and fruity, with hints of lychee and orchid.

Brewing Instructions[edit | edit source]

To fully enjoy the flavors and aromas of Jin Jun Mei tea, it is important to follow the proper brewing instructions:

1. Use freshly boiled water at a temperature of around 95°C (203°F). 2. Place 2-3 grams of tea leaves per 200ml of water into a teapot or infuser. 3. Steep the tea for approximately 3-4 minutes. 4. Strain the tea and pour it into cups to serve.

Health Benefits[edit | edit source]

Jin Jun Mei tea, like other black teas, contains various beneficial compounds that can contribute to overall health and well-being. It is rich in antioxidants, which help combat free radicals and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Additionally, black tea is known to promote heart health, improve digestion, and boost the immune system.
