What is a bivalent vaccine?[edit | edit source]

A vaccine that works by stimulating an immune response against two different antigens, such as two different viruses or other microorganisms.

For example, Cervarix is a bivalent vaccine that helps protect the body against infection with two different types of human papillomaviruses (HPV). Other examples include Poliomyelitis vaccine (oral) Bivalent types 1 and 3
