Erdenheim, Pennsylvania

Erdenheim is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Springfield Township, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The name "Erdenheim" is of German origin and translates to "earth home".

Geography[edit | edit source]

Erdenheim is located at 40°6′55″N 75°12′24″W (40.115278, -75.206667). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km²), all of it land.

Demographics[edit | edit source]

As of the census of 2000, there were 5,366 people, 2,135 households, and 1,462 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 4,120.6 people per square mile (1,589.6/km²).

Education[edit | edit source]

Erdenheim is served by the Springfield Township School District. The district operates Springfield Township High School, Springfield Township Middle School, and Erdenheim Elementary School.

Notable people[edit | edit source]

Bradley Cooper, an American actor and filmmaker, was raised in Erdenheim.
