Chicken tikka
Chicken Tikka Recipe[edit | edit source]
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt and lemon juice.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat grill or broiler. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
- Grill or broil the chicken for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through, turning occasionally.
- Brush with oil during cooking to prevent sticking and enhance the browning.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with chutney or dipping sauce.
