This is a delicious and healthy recipe for a Keto Chocolate Hazelnut Spread. It's perfect for those following a keto diet and craving for a sweet treat.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 cup hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup erythritol or other keto-friendly sweetener
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fragrant.
- Let the hazelnuts cool for a few minutes, then transfer them to a clean kitchen towel. Rub them together to remove as much of the skins as possible.
- Place the skinned hazelnuts in a food processor and process until they turn into a smooth butter.
- Add the cocoa powder, erythritol, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and salt to the food processor. Process again until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the spread to a jar and let it cool to room temperature. It will thicken as it cools.
