Keto Pierogi filled with Bacon and Mushroom is a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional pierogi. This recipe is perfect for those following a Ketogenic Diet as it is low in carbs and high in fats.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 cups of Almond Flour
- 1 cup of Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 cup of chopped Bacon
- 1/2 cup of chopped Mushroom
- 1/2 cup of Onion
- 2 cloves of Garlic
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, combine the almond flour and mozzarella cheese.
- Add the egg to the mixture and knead until a dough forms.
- In a separate pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion, garlic, and mushrooms until soft.
- Combine the cooked bacon with the sautéed vegetables and season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles using a cookie cutter.
- Place a spoonful of the bacon and mushroom mixture in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.
- Place the pierogi on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
