A delicious and healthy keto friendly recipe, Low Carb Flax Bread is a great alternative for those following a low carb or ketogenic diet. This bread is packed with fiber and healthy fats from flaxseed, making it a nutritious and satisfying choice.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 cups of flaxseed meal
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1-2 tablespoons of sweetener (optional)
- 5 beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of oil
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flaxseed meal, baking powder, salt, and sweetener (if using).
- In another bowl, mix together the beaten eggs, water, and oil.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool before slicing and serving.
