Low carb tortillas
Low Carb Tortillas[edit | edit source]
A delicious and healthy alternative to traditional tortillas, these low carb tortillas are perfect for those following a keto diet. They are easy to make and can be used in a variety of dishes.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 cup of almond flour
- 3 tablespoons of coconut flour
- 2 teaspoons of xanthan gum
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of water
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, xanthan gum, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, egg, and water.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
- Flatten each ball with a rolling pin until it forms a thin circle, about the size of a tortilla.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook each tortilla for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Allow the tortillas to cool before using.
