Monterey Mug Melt is a quick and easy keto friendly recipe that is perfect for a low-carb diet. It is a delicious and satisfying meal that can be prepared in just a few minutes.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1/2 cup of Monterey Jack Cheese
- 1/4 cup of Cheddar Cheese
- 2 slices of Turkey Bacon
- 1/4 cup of Green Bell Pepper
- 1/4 cup of Red Onion
- 1/4 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of Salt
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Start by cooking the Turkey Bacon in a pan until it is crispy. Once done, set it aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the Green Bell Pepper and Red Onion until they are soft.
- In a microwave-safe mug, layer half of the Monterey Jack Cheese at the bottom.
- Add the cooked Turkey Bacon, Green Bell Pepper, and Red Onion on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle the Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, and Salt over the ingredients in the mug.
- Layer the remaining Monterey Jack Cheese and the Cheddar Cheese on top.
- Microwave the mug for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
