Overview[edit | edit source]
Baked Cheese is a simple yet delicious snack that takes advantage of the melt-in-your-mouth qualities of cheese. It's a versatile dish that can be paired with a variety of herbs, spices, and accompaniments.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 200g of your choice of hard cheese (e.g., cheddar, mozzarella, or gouda)
- Optional: Herbs and spices like rosemary, thyme, or chili flakes
Preparation[edit | edit source]
- 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2. Slice the cheese into thin pieces or grate it.
- 3. Lay the cheese on a parchment-lined baking tray, ensuring pieces do not overlap.
- 4. If desired, sprinkle herbs or spices over the cheese.
- 5. Bake for approximately 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
- 6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. The cheese will become crispier as it cools.
- 7. Serve warm as a snack or with keto-friendly dips.
Serving Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Use as a base for mini keto pizzas.
- Serve with keto salsa or guacamole.
- Crumble over keto salads for a crunchy element.
