Chicken drumsticks are a delicious and nutritious source of protein, while keto fries made from low-carb vegetables like zucchini or turnips are a great alternative to traditional potato fries. This recipe is perfect for those following a keto diet.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 medium zucchini or turnips, cut into fries
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
- Rub the chicken drumsticks with one tablespoon of olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place the drumsticks on a baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
- While the chicken is baking, toss the zucchini or turnip fries in the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Spread the fries out on a separate baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Serve the chicken drumsticks with the keto fries on the side.
