Overview[edit | edit source]
Eggy Spiders are a playful and nutritious breakfast option that combines eggs and avocados in a visually fun way, reminiscent of spiders. They are not only a hit with kids but also a keto-friendly breakfast option for adults.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 2 small slices of red bell pepper (for the eyes)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: herbs or seasoning of choice
Preparation[edit | edit source]
- 1. Cook the egg sunny-side up or as preferred.
- 2. Place the cooked egg on a plate as the spider's body.
- 3. Use the avocado slices to make the spider's legs. Typically, four slices on each side.
- 4. Use the small slices of red bell pepper to form the spider's eyes on the egg yolk.
- 5. Season with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings.
Serving Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Serve as a fun breakfast for kids or a keto-friendly meal for adults.
- Can be paired with other keto-friendly sides such as bacon or sausages.
