Keto Guacamole
Keto Guacamole is a rich, creamy dip that's not only delicious but also packs a punch of healthy fats, making it perfect for the keto diet. It's made primarily from avocados, which are high in monounsaturated fats and contain minimal carbohydrates.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 3 ripe avocados, pitted and mashed
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced (optional for heat)
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed avocados with the lime juice. Mix well.
- Add in the chopped onion, diced tomatoes, minced jalapeño (if using), and fresh cilantro. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
- Season with salt, pepper, and minced garlic (if using). Mix well.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
- Serve with keto-friendly chips or vegetable sticks.
