Lamb and Halloumi Burgers[edit | edit source]
A delicious and satisfying meal, these Lamb and Halloumi Burgers are perfect for those following a keto diet. They are high in protein and low in carbs, making them a great choice for a healthy and filling dinner.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 500g of lamb mince
- 200g of halloumi cheese, sliced
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Lettuce leaves, for serving
- Tomato slices, for serving
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- In a large bowl, combine the lamb mince, chopped red onion, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- In the same pan, fry the halloumi slices until they are golden brown on both sides.
- Serve the lamb burgers on lettuce leaves, topped with the fried halloumi and tomato slices.
