A delicious and easy-to-make recipe for those following a keto diet, these Low Carb Taco Tartlets are sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup tomatoes, diced
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a bowl, combine the almond flour, melted butter, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a mini muffin tin, creating a small well in the center of each.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- While the tartlet crusts are baking, cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain the excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet with the beef. Stir until well combined and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Once the tartlet crusts are done baking, fill each with the taco meat. Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return the tartlets to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Top each tartlet with a dollop of sour cream, and sprinkle with chopped green onions and diced tomatoes before serving.
