A delicious and healthy dessert, the Low Carb Trifle is a perfect choice for those following a keto diet. This recipe is easy to prepare and packed with flavors that will satisfy your sweet tooth without breaking your diet.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 cup of almond flour
- 1/4 cup of erythritol
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup of blueberries
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, erythritol, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut it into cubes.
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In a trifle dish, layer half of the cake cubes, half of the whipped cream, and half of the berries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
