This is a delicious and nutritious keto friendly recipe for a Spinach Salad with Hot Bacon Fat Dressing. It's a perfect dish for those who are following a low-carb diet or just want to enjoy a healthy and tasty salad.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 large bunch of fresh spinach
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Wash the spinach thoroughly and pat dry. Place in a large salad bowl.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced red onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
- Add the apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- Crumble the cooked bacon and add it back to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- Pour the hot bacon fat dressing over the spinach. Toss well to ensure all the spinach leaves are coated with the dressing.
- Serve immediately.
