Steak with Keto Mushroom Stroganoff[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 steaks (around 200g each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook the steaks to your desired level of doneness, then remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil, the chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook until they are browned and their liquid has evaporated.
- Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer until it has reduced by half.
- Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Return the steaks to the pan and let them warm in the sauce for a few minutes.
- Serve the steaks with the mushroom stroganoff sauce on top, garnished with fresh parsley.
