Keto Caveman's Chili is a meat-forward adaptation of traditional chili recipes. It focuses on rich, hearty flavors while reducing carbohydrate content, making it suitable for those following a ketogenic diet.
Keto Caveman's Chili Recipe[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes or jalapeños for added heat
Preparation[edit | edit source]
- In a large pot or skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and garlic and cook until translucent.
- Add the bell pepper and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, and any additional spices or peppers if using.
- Reduce heat and let the chili simmer for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with cheese, sour cream, or fresh herbs.
