Chinese Style Slow Cooked Pork Hock[edit | edit source]

  1. Heat the coconut oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the pork hocks and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the garlic, onion, and ginger. Cook until fragrant.
  3. Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, erythritol, Chinese five spice, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  4. Place the pork hocks back in the pan and add the bone broth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours, until the pork is tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
