A delicious and keto-friendly recipe, the Goat Cheese Tomato Tarts are a perfect appetizer or snack. They are easy to prepare and packed with flavors.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- Goat Cheese - 1 cup
- Tomatoes - 2, sliced
- Almond Flour - 1 cup
- Butter - 1/2 cup, melted
- Eggs - 2
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Basil - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a bowl, combine the almond flour, melted butter, one egg, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Press the dough into the bottom of a tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- While the crust is baking, mix the goat cheese, remaining egg, chopped basil, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
- Once the crust is ready, spread the goat cheese mixture over it. Arrange the tomato slices on top.
- Bake for another 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tomatoes are soft.
- Allow to cool before serving.
