Keto croque monsieur
Keto Croque Monsieur[edit | edit source]
Keto Croque Monsieur is a low-carb version of the classic French sandwich. This recipe uses almond flour bread and sugar-free ham to create a delicious, keto-friendly meal.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 4 slices of Almond Flour Bread
- 4 slices of Sugar-Free Ham
- 2 slices of Swiss Cheese
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon Mustard
- 2 tablespoons of Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 cup of Heavy Cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
- Spread the Dijon mustard evenly on one side of each slice of almond flour bread.
- Place a slice of sugar-free ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the mustard on two of the slices of bread. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mustard-side down.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the sandwiches and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Pour the heavy cream over the sandwiches in the skillet. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted and the sandwiches are heated through, about 10-15 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
