Keto loco moco
Keto loco moco is a keto friendly, low carbohydrate, food item.

Keto Loco Moco is a keto adaptation of the classic Hawaiian dish "Loco Moco," traditionally consisting of white rice topped with a hamburger patty, a fried egg, and brown gravy. In the keto version, cauliflower rice replaces white rice to maintain a low carb count.
Keto Loco Moco Recipe[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 4 hamburger patties (ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper)
- 4 cups of cauliflower rice
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups keto-friendly brown gravy (made with beef broth, butter, and xanthan gum)
- Optional: Chopped green onions for garnish
Preparation[edit | edit source]
- Cook the hamburger patties in a skillet over medium heat until they are well-done.
- In another skillet, prepare the cauliflower rice until it's tender.
- Prepare the gravy by melting butter in a saucepan, adding beef broth, and thickening it with xanthan gum. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a separate skillet, fry the eggs. Ideally, the yolk should remain runny.
- To assemble, place a portion of the cauliflower rice on a plate, top with a hamburger patty, followed by the fried egg, and then drizzle with the gravy.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
Serving Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Can be accompanied by a light keto salad for added freshness.
- A great dish for brunch or dinner.
