Orange and Sage Glazed Duck Breast[edit | edit source]
A delicious and keto-friendly recipe, the Orange and Sage Glazed Duck Breast is a perfect main course for any occasion.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 duck breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon erythritol
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Score the skin of the duck breasts, and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the duck breasts, skin side down, and cook for 6-8 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.
- Turn the duck breasts over and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove the duck from the pan and place in a roasting tin. Roast in the oven for 10 minutes.
- While the duck is roasting, add the sage, orange zest and juice, vinegar, and erythritol to the pan. Simmer until the sauce has reduced by half.
- Remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Pour the orange and sage glaze over the duck before serving.
