Perfectly Crisp Baked Chicken Wings[edit | edit source]
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 lbs of Chicken wings
- 1 tbsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1/2 cup Hot sauce
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- Celery sticks and Blue cheese dressing, for serving
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and place a rack in the lower third of the oven.
- Dry the chicken wings thoroughly with paper towels, then place in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Sprinkle the baking powder mixture over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, and place in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
- After 30 minutes, raise the oven temperature to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and bake for an additional 45 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- While the wings are baking, combine the hot sauce and melted butter in a large bowl.
- Once the wings are done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Toss the wings in the hot sauce mixture until evenly coated.
- Serve the wings with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
