Beaten/flattened rice

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup poha (flattened rice)
  2. 1/4 cup peanuts
  3. 1/4 cup chopped onion
  4. 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  5. 1/4 cup chopped green chilies
  6. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  7. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 2 tbsp ghee

Instructions:

  1. Soak the poha in water for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  4. Add peanuts and fry until golden brown.
  5. Add onion, tomatoes and green chilies. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add turmeric powder, salt and sauté for a minute.
  7. Add the soaked poha and mix well.
  8. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  1. Serve hot.
