Roasted Pork Belly with Creamed Pointed Cabbage[edit | edit source]

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. Score the skin of the Pork belly into a diamond pattern, then season with Salt and Pepper.
  3. Place the Pork belly in a roasting tin and roast in the oven for 30 minutes.
  4. After 30 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 180°C (356°F) and roast for another 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  5. While the pork is roasting, prepare the Pointed cabbage. Cut it into thin strips.
  6. Heat the Olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the Garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  7. Add the Pointed cabbage to the pan and cook until it starts to soften.
  8. Pour in the Heavy cream and stir well. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the cabbage is fully softened and the cream has thickened.
  9. Season the creamed cabbage with Salt and Pepper to taste.
  10. Once the Pork belly is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  11. Serve the roasted pork belly with the creamed pointed cabbage.
