Steamed Pork Cabbage Rolls[edit | edit source]
A delicious and healthy keto friendly recipe, Steamed Pork Cabbage Rolls are a perfect meal for those following a low-carb diet.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 large cabbage
- 500g pork mince
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully peel off the leaves.
- In a large bowl, combine the pork mince, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Take a cabbage leaf and place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center. Roll the leaf around the mixture, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat with the remaining leaves and mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cabbage rolls, seam side down, and cook until browned on all sides.
- Pour the chicken broth over the cabbage rolls, cover the pan, and reduce the heat to low. Let the rolls simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
- Serve the cabbage rolls hot, with the broth spooned over the top.
