Chicken Liver in Creamy Mushroom Sauce with Broccoli Mash[edit | edit source]
Chicken liver is a nutrient-dense food that is high in protein and a rich source of vitamins and minerals. This recipe pairs it with a creamy mushroom sauce and a side of broccoli mash for a delicious and satisfying keto-friendly meal.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 500g Chicken liver
- 200g Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
For the Broccoli Mash:

- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft.
- Add the chicken liver to the pan and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the mushrooms and cook until soft. Add the heavy cream, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
- Return the chicken liver to the pan and simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes.
- While the chicken liver is cooking, steam the broccoli until soft. Mash with the butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Serve the chicken liver in creamy mushroom sauce with a side of broccoli mash.
