Gluten-Free Bechamel Sauce[edit | edit source]
A creamy, rich, and delicious Gluten-Free Bechamel Sauce that is also keto-friendly. This sauce is perfect for those following a keto diet and is gluten-free.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 2 cups of almond milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of coconut flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the coconut flour to the melted butter, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook the flour and butter mixture for about 2 minutes, until it turns a light golden color.
- Slowly add the almond milk to the saucepan, whisking continuously.
- Add the salt, white pepper, and nutmeg to the saucepan.
- Continue to cook the sauce over medium heat, whisking frequently, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
- Remove the sauce from the heat and use immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
