Low carb flank steak with pepper sauce and cauliflower and broccoli gratin
Ingredients[edit]
- Flank Steak - 1.5 lbs
- Black Pepper - 1 tbsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Beef Broth - 1 cup
- Heavy Cream - 1/2 cup
- Cauliflower - 1 head, cut into florets
- Broccoli - 1 head, cut into florets
- Cheese - 1 cup, grated
- Butter - 2 tbsp
Instructions[edit]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Season the flank steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce has thickened.
- In a separate pot, melt the butter and add the cauliflower and broccoli. Cook until tender.
- Transfer the vegetables to a baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Slice the steak and serve with the pepper sauce and the cauliflower and broccoli gratin.
