This is a delicious and healthy recipe for Low Carb Harissa Chicken with Lime Sauce. It's perfect for those following a keto diet as it's high in protein and low in carbs.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons harissa paste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then rub them with the harissa paste.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, until browned.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the butter and garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth, lime juice, and heavy cream to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve the chicken with the lime sauce spooned over the top.
