Overview[edit | edit source]

A Lox Omelet combines the rich flavors of smoked salmon with fluffy eggs. This dish is a luxurious way to start the day while keeping it keto-friendly.

Ingredients[edit | edit source]

Preparation[edit | edit source]

  • 1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with salt and pepper until well combined.
  • 2. Heat butter or olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • 3. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet.
  • 4. As the eggs start to set, gently lift the edges with a spatula and tilt the pan to allow the uncooked eggs to flow underneath.
  • 5. When the omelet is nearly set but still a little soft in the center, place the smoked salmon and cream cheese on one half.
  • 6. Sprinkle with chopped chives.
  • 7. Carefully fold the other half of the omelet over the fillings.
  • 8. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the omelet is fully set and the cream cheese is slightly melted.
  • 9. Slide the omelet onto a plate, garnish with additional chives, and serve.

Serving Suggestions[edit | edit source]

  • Accompany with a side of keto toast or avocado slices.
  • Enjoy with a fresh salad or sautéed spinach for a balanced meal.

Nutritional Value[edit | edit source]

The Lox Omelet is a good source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential vitamins and minerals.
