Portobello Personal Pizzas[edit | edit source]
Portobello Personal Pizzas are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional pizza. They are low in carbs, making them perfect for those following a keto diet.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 4 large Portobello mushrooms
- 1 cup of marinara sauce
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of pepperoni
- 1/2 cup of sliced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup of sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup of sliced onions
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Clean the Portobello mushrooms and remove the stems.
- Brush both sides of the mushrooms with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake the mushrooms for about 5 minutes to soften them.
- Remove the mushrooms from the oven and drain any liquid that has collected in the caps.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on each mushroom cap.
- Top the sauce with a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Add the pepperoni, bell peppers, black olives, and onions on top of the cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the mushrooms to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the pizzas cool for a few minutes before serving.
