Overview[edit | edit source]
Keto Pizza offers the beloved flavors and textures of traditional pizza without the high carb content. By utilizing alternative ingredients for the crust and mindful toppings, keto enthusiasts can indulge in pizza guilt-free.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
For the crust:[edit | edit source]
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 egg
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
For the toppings:[edit | edit source]
- 1/4 cup low-carb tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Toppings of choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, etc.)
Preparation[edit | edit source]
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). 2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave for 1 minute or until cheeses are melted and can be stirred together. 3. Add the almond flour, egg, salt, and oregano to the cheese mixture and stir until a dough forms. 4. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out into a thin circle. 5. Transfer the rolled-out dough (on parchment) to a pizza stone or baking sheet. 6. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. 7. Remove the crust from the oven and add the tomato sauce, cheese, and toppings. 8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving Suggestions[edit | edit source]
