- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, and bell peppers. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Return the beef to the pot. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the chili simmer for at least 1 hour.
- Serve the chili hot, garnished with your favorite keto-friendly toppings.
