Obesity in Ireland is a significant health issue. In 2016, the adult obesity rate in Ireland was 25.3%, ranking it 51st globally. This is a concern for the country's public health system, as obesity is linked to a number of serious health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer.
