Roast wild pheasant (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of 0-1 per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 8.
  2. Lightly salt the inside of the bird and rub in with your hand.
  3. Fill the cavity loosely with your favorite Herbed Suffing.
  4. Truss the legs and place breast side up on a rack in a roasting pan.
  5. Place Bacon slices over the breast side by side.
  6. Roast for approximately 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.
  7. Check after 75 minutes of cooking.
