Ecuador, officially known as the Republic of Ecuador, is a country located in South America. It is bordered by Colombia on the north, Peru on the east and south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The country has a diverse population of over 17 million people.
In 2016, Ecuador had an adult obesity rate of 19.9%, ranking it 106th globally. Obesity is a significant health concern in Ecuador, as it is associated with a number of serious health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer.
